Introduction
Pt-Global, a partnership between dr. Faith Ottery, MD, PhD, FACN and the Research and Innovation Group in Health Care and Nursing of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, The Netherlands, is committed to protect the privacy of all users of the Pt-Global app and visitors of www.pt-global.org (‘the Pt-Global website’) and to follow all relevant standards with respect to the protection of personal information and privacy of the owner and the user. In this Privacy Policy we aim to explain how we use and protect the data you provide us.

Data that we collect
Patient data captured in the Pt-Global app will not be stored by Pt-Global. Pt-Global only collects meta-data: number of downloads per platform, per country, language, per app version and per provider and the number of screens completed. These meta-data will be used for statistical purposes and to further improve the Pt-Global app. We may collect your personal information, including your name and contact information, at the Pt-Global website if you opt in and:
- Subscribe to the Pt-Global website
- Create or change an account at the Pt-Global website
- Subscribe to services at the Pt-Global website

We may also collect personal information from emails and letters you sent us, as well as information about your visit to the Pt-Global website. We collect the personal information as described above only if you explicitly gave us permission to do so. You can choose to not give us permission. Subsequently, it might be not possible for you to subscribe to the website or services, or not be able to use interactive communication tools on the website. However, you will be able to communicate with us at info@pt-global.org.

How we use personal information as provided to the Pt-Global website
We will not give your personal information to other parties.

We will use your information:
- To answer questions (including complaints) and to send you emails; to ask for your opinion on our services
- To keep you informed about important changes regarding the Pt-Global website or our services
- To perform statistical analyses

Policy regarding storage of data
We will store your personal information (not patient data) for a period as long as reasonable for the operation and support of the Pt-Global app or as long as is legally mandated. Thereafter, personal data will be deleted from our systems.

Access to and changing your personal data
You have the right to have access to data you provided us. You have the right to ask us to correct, revise or completely delete the data you provided us. If you wish so, you should send us an email to info@pt-global.org or send us a letter, to the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Research and Innovation Group in Health Care and Nursing, Eyssoniusplein 18, 9714 CE Groningen, The Netherlands, stating ‘Pt-Global’.

Security
We respect your privacy and therefore protection of the data you have provided is of utmost importance to us. Security of your personal data is one of our top priorities. We take security procedures to protect your data against access by unauthorized persons and against unauthorized data processing, unplanned loss of data, destruction of and damage to data.

We perform the following procedures to protect your privacy:
- A username and password are needed to gain access to personal data
- Firewalls are installed to protect data stored on our servers
- All personnel adhere to the Privacy Policy and will be punished if they violate the Privacy Policy
- Backup systems are installed to ensure that your personal data remain intact

Although we will do everything to protect your data, a certain risk remains that unscrupulous people will find a way to hack our security systems. Therefore, we will never be able to 100% guarantee that the collected personal data will never be released in a way that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

The Pt-Global website may use cookies. Cookies are small amounts of data that we store at your computer. Cookies make it easier for you to login and use the website for future visits. Cookies also may enable us to monitor data traffic on the website and to tailor the website to your needs. We always ask your permission to use cookies, to collect data on your visits to and with use of the website, except for cookies that are used for sending communication about the internet or that are strictly required to perform the services that you required. Cookies will not be used for unsolicited communication.

Changes in Privacy Policy
All future changes in our Privacy Policy will be published at the website, and if necessary you will be informed by email. If you continue to use the website, then that indicates you agree on those changes.
