The Thai version of the PG-SGA is now available as download on the Pt-Global website. The Thai version of the PG-SGA is the third language version that has been translated and culturally adapted from the original English PG-SGA. The Thai PG-SGA has been developed in close collaboration with Nicharach Nitichai, Jongjit Angkatavanich, and Nicha Somlaw (Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok).
Similar to the Dutch and Portuguese versions of the PG-SGA, the Thai version has been developed according to the ISPOR Principles for translation and cultural adaptation (Wild et al. 2005). The results of the pilot testing in cancer patients showed that patients consider the Thai version of the PG-SGA very easy to complete and that professionals considered the Thai PG-SGA as very comprehensible, relevant, and borderline acceptable in difficulty to complete. The pilot testing also showed good intra-rater reliability of the Thai PG-SGA. The translation and cultural adaptation of the PG-SGA to the Thai setting will be presented at the annual ESPEN Congress in The Hague, in September 2017.
